Strengthening Our Community

Every member of our team is here because we truly enjoy helping people. In addition to working hard for our clients on their legal claims, we are also active volunteers in our neighborhoods and the Vermont legal community. We give our time, our skills, and our financial support to many different worthwhile causes. We find it rewarding to help our clients and their families by strengthening our communities through sponsorships and volunteer work.

Volunteer Work

Vermont Foodbank

undefinedTwice a year, our entire office spends a morning working at the Vermont Foodbank. We do whatever is needed that day, whether it’s sorting produce, packing supermarket donations of frozen meat, or filling boxes with monthly meals for seniors.

Every holiday season we make an annual donation to the Foodbank.

2018 Lawyers Fighting Hunger Food Drive

undefinedSeptember is designated National Hunger Action Month by the Vermont Foodbank. Twenty-four Vermont law firms and offices signed up to participate in the event. The Lawyers Fighting Hunger Food Drive aims to raise awareness and fight hunger in Vermont.

Last year, our firm collected 88 pounds of food and $500 in donations for a food drive organized by Vermont Attorney General TJ Donovan.

PRO BONO WORK—FOR THE PUBLIC GOOD

Our attorneys believe in giving freely of their time and legal expertise for the public good. They are effective advocates for justice through their service on boards, committees, and the courts.

Vermont Association for Justice (VTAJ)

Attorneys Pat Biggam and Ron Fox both previously served on the Board of Governors.

  • Handing out 500 sets of bicycle lights to kids.
  • Presenting to high schoolers on distracted driving.
  • Installing hundreds of free smoke alarms in homes.

Advocacy

As members of VTAJ, our attorneys actively support or oppose legislation and regulations that affect our clients.
