Office staff
Judy Richardson, Office Manager
I am a native Vermonter, and the youngest of six children. My family lived in Burlington and then Waterbury, Vermont, where I lived until I married. My husband and I live in his family’s hometown of Worcester, Vermont, with our two sons.
My interests include reading, music, fishing with my husband and sons, and generally spending time with my family. Family is very important to me. We own a camp on a pond in Eden, Vermont. All of us enjoy the camp to either fish, swim, or just chat with each other.
I’ve worked at Biggam, Fox & Skinner for almost 20 years. I enjoy being part of a team that help injured people through the sometimes complicated process of a workers’ compensation claim or filing for social security or recovering from some sort of personal injury. Each of us has a different role–whether it is as an attorney, a paralegal, office manager, or receptionist–we all play a part in each case.
It is especially rewarding to work in a job where you can help people get through a difficult period in their life. I feel like I too have won when our clients are successful in their case.

Tasha Bushey, Legal Assistant

I am a native of Vermont and have lived here most of my life. I love the green grass in the spring, colorful leaves in the fall, and the large snow piles in the winter. However, I love to explore. I have traveled to almost every country in Europe and plan on continuing to do so throughout my life. I have two older brothers, an older sister, and two younger sisters, which makes me the middle child. I have three nephews and a niece who are as precious as gold. I got married in January of 2009 and my husband and I hope to start a family soon.
I graduated from Castleton State College with an A.S. in Criminal Justice in December of 2006 as well as a B.A. in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology in May of 2007. I plan on attending Vermont Law School in the near future.
I have had experience working with the Department of Corrections in Vermont as a correctional officer as well as an intern at the Department of Probation and Parole. I also worked in a Juvenile Detention Facility as a residential counselor. Now, I work as a Legal Assistant at Biggam, Fox & Skinner in their Social Security department. I am a part of a team of four people, two attorneys, a paralegal and legal assistant, who work together to help assist deserving people in collecting their disability benefits. The thing that I enjoy the most about my job is having the opportunity to speak with, help, and assist some of the worthy people in my community who really need our help with their claims. The legal system is complex and confusing, but it is also my passion.

Shelley Thurston, Front Desk/Legal Assistant
I was born at the old Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital in Hanover, New Hampshire, and lived in Thetford, until moving to Vershire when I was in fourth grade. I was privileged to be born into a large family and I enjoy spending time with them whenever I am able to.
I have two dogs who I love to spend time with outside doing various activities. I also enjoy reading, swimming, traveling and seeing new and different things. I recently bought a vacation home in Kansas so that I can visit my family while they are hunting. It’s so different from New England and I find it exciting to experience a different American life style.
Being injured is very frustrating to you as an individual as well as to your family and friends. What is more frustrating is not being able to find someone who can listen and is able to help you with the right information.
Biggam Fox & Skinner is always willing to help anyone and everyone they can. I enjoy working with a group of people who are willing to go out of their way to help people get what they are entitled to. I am the newest member of the team and anticipate being here and helping any way that I can for a long time.
