Ashley Gildersleeve

I have lived in various parts of the country including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Vermont and more recently, New Mexico. After two years studying art in Albuquerque, New Mexico, I moved back to Vermont to pursue my bachelor degree in English Literature. I moved to Montpelier a little over a year ago with my family and we love the unique sense of community that this area has to offer. After all the traveling I have done, it seems I’m a small town girl at heart.

I have worked at Biggam, Fox & Skinner since February, 2011, and have been thoroughly impressed with the dedication and professionalism each member of this team exhibits. As a student of the English language, I really appreciate the challenges and intricacies that are synonymous with interpreting the law.

I truly enjoy working with people and I am proud to work with such a knowledgeable group of individuals who have dedicated their lives to improving the lives of those around them. At Biggam, Fox & Skinner I am able to get hands-on experience learning about social organizations and their direct impact on the people in the community.

Emily Smith

I grew up in Vermont and joined Biggam, Fox & Skinner in 2010 as a Legal Assistant. Out of college I worked as a case manager in a substance abuse program for adolescents and I developed skills that have been helpful in my work with clients and professionals ever since. At BFS I have had the opportunity, once again, to help and advocate for others. I feel great satisfaction in being a part of the process of helping our clients receive the benefits they deserve.

I enjoy cooking and eating good food and Vermont is such as great location for fresh and local foods! In the past I owned a breakfast and lunch café in St. Johnsbury and it was satisfying to offer something that was lacking in our community. I also love travel. I took cooking classes in Paris and hope to make many more trips to France and other parts of Europe with my family.
